In the Annual Professionals Developer Conference Microsoft launched the beta of Office 2010. For the latest, Microsoft announced the launch of an entirely new updated wave of Office applications in June 2010. As we had mentioned in our earlier post, Microsoft’s reincarnation of its Office suite seems more incremental than revolutionary. But change for better is always welcome. The Office suite 2010 will be updated for Windows and include ribbon feature for all products. The Redmond company will also be announcing Office 2010 for Mac OS X 2010. Office 2010 will be released in six different segments that would include free version of the most popular applications - Microsoft Word and Excel. However, these applications will have reduced functionality and will include advertisement. The editions of Office 2010 will come in Starter, Home and Student, Home and Business, Standard, Professional and Professional Plus.
Currently, Office 2010 Professional Plus is available for public beta. It includes all the office products, excluding Visio 2010 and Project 2010. Microsoft Office 2010 will be released in full version and upgrade version, for users having Office 2007 installed.
