Popular White iPhone Delayed Until Late 2010

According to the latest report issued by Apple on Friday,  the launch of white iphone will be delayed till the end of 2010. It’s unclear whether the delay is simply due to the huge demand, but Apple surely would have admitted that if that were the case. Some have also suggested that the company could be, further, looking into the antenna issue that creates problem for the current models on the market, but that is unlikely, since it stood by the design of its product in a recent press conference.

The most likely chances is the supply chain issue. As per AppleInsider, LG Display has been unable to fulfill orders for displays used in Apple’s iPad and the company promised to catch up to demand by Q2 2011. It is possible that Apple is facing similar shortage for its popular product iPhone.

Chinese newspaper 21 st Century Business Herald reported that one employee told them that the problem is associated with the production issues in relation with making sure that the device’s white paint has to be thin enough to meet the company’s clearance specifications but thick enough to ensure that it is not transparent.
