Translator Plugin Pro 5.0: Guidelines & Notes for Current Customers

Translator Plugin Pro 5.0 is a new release in many refreshing ways.
One of the first thing you will notice is that the Translator options page have moved under Options menu.
One of the nagging problems with Translator Pro for heavy users / popular blogs was that sometimes translation engines like Google banned them temporarily due to heavy load. As the load pattern was beyond their and our control, generated often by web crawlers, there wasn’t much we could do. But not any more. We have addressed this issue head-on. We now pro-actively manage the load on translation engines and consequently on your server too. Translator automatically takes corrective actions to protect your blog. Translator 5.0 has moved miles ahead to address this nagging issue. We have been using Translator 5.0 for months on our highly popular blogs to test and fine tune our algorithms so you get a perfect experience.
The other issue was site load. Translator 4.0 used WordPress object cache to cache the page content. Unfortunately WordPress object cache can cause heavy load on certain sites. We also needed to move away from object cache because Translator requires semi-permanent caching solution and more control over cache data including modifiability (more on it later). We addressed this issue head-on and rolled our own high performing database based intelligent caching engine.
Translator 5.0 ships with 13 + 1 (Norwegian optional; can be enabled from options panel) languages. The full matrix will be published in a day.
Translator 5.0 includes capability to include (in translated or original format) or exclude sections from translated pages. We also provide an API for full customization of the display. However you don’t need to be a PHP programmer to use the API. We have provided simple examples to get you started in no time.
I think you will all love the new user interface. It is broken into tabbed section with instant navigation between them. The basic section contains almost everything you would ever need to know along with nice statistics.
The advanced section contains options to control and fine tune the caching engine, load balancer, language & engine configuration etc.
Translator Pro 5.0 comes with two widgets - one to display the plugin as before and the second to display statistics.
We will ship your free upgrade in email by next week. You can also, after shipment, download your plugin (upgrade) from Download Central by submitting the transaction id provided by PayPal when you ordered.
