iPhone was hot, but its getting hotter with things turning up in its favor. Well, this time its with Google’s update spreadsheets. For those of you complaining about iPhone’s incapability to edit Google docs spreadsheets can now perk up. Google’s updated  spreadsheets has come up with new features that iPhone’s can enjoy. Android and Symbian would also get a share of the pie.

The latest spreadsheets offer a more mobile friendly view with filtering, sorting and row-by-row editing. The feature is doing well with iPhone. Having said that, I must add that you won’t be building complex spreadsheets on your iPhone. With the new build, you’ll be able to edit existing spreadsheet on your iPhone or create new one’s from scratch.

What’s new with the spreadsheets to utilize on your iPhone

  • Better Interface - More so you can now enjoy an upgraded interface that offers both portrait or landscape mode.
  • Editing Rows- You can easily edit existing rows or add a row with a tap. Just tap on the Edit and you are given fields to edit.
  • Data Validation - Now you can define attributes of a cell. The  input must meet those data validation rules . To use the data validation select a cell from the spreadsheet. tap on the Tools and select the Data Validation.  Enter the attributes and save it.
  • Summary page - Get a summary page of information about complete responses. To view the summary page click ‘Form’ from the spreadsheet menu bar and select the Show summary.

Apply these on your iPhone while working with Google docs. Let me know about your new experience.
