Is Twitter Enabling Stalking?

Stalking appears to be the most appropriate way to describe my recent experiences. First of all Twitter (I love the service) has changed the message from so and so is your friend to the eerie message so and so is following you. I am sure girls will have a fun time with such frequent messages. But that’s not the best part.
Note: For those who don’t know Twitter is blogging for the attention deficit generation with free SMS, of what your friends are tweeting about, thrown in for fun.
For each user who is following me, I get at least three such messages. If you were doubtful about Twitter sponsored stalking it leaves no doubt at all. The bottomline is Twitter needs to fix its program and its verbiage. It is really not a big deal for me but it will surely make a non-techie user nervous about using Twitter. An No, for the record I don’t think Twitter is encouraging stalking despite its poor verbiage. I would change the message to so and so is following your tweets or something cuter and safe sounding.
BTW: Do you know about an automated way to make thousands of friends in Twitter? Would you like to know?
BTW 2: You can follow all my activities, which I choose to divulge, often in gory details on twitter.
BTW 3: Did you know that you can get (free) SMS from Twitter in India?
